Interest Rate Lifeline

Headlines this week talked about the ‘interest rate lifeline’ and all stock picks are a mix of 77% BUY, 10% HOLD, 13% SELL.

1. BUY YouGov

Top performing stock pick this week is Buy YouGov by Berenberg with a tip performance of 24%.

The London based internet market research firm that listed at a humble 29p back in 2005 is now at 880p after hitting an all-time high of 1,405p in 2021.

YouGov share price soared over 15% this week the announcement that revenues are up 17% over 12 months and sales up 9% with further positive recovery forecast.

CFour out of four analysts in Stockomendation say BUY: Emma Powell of The Times, Kevin Godbold, Berenberg and GA Chester. There are no active short positions open.

2. AVOID Calnex Solutions

Second top stock pick this week is AVOID Calnex Solutions by Steve Moore in ShareProphets with a tip performance of 21%.

Calnex solutions produces instruments for application performance testing and network synchronisation.

Calnex share price listed at 55p in 2020, rose to an all-time high of 195p in January this year and currently sits at 52p having descended from 118p on 29 September.

UK Investor magazine referred to the three-year low profit warning as a ‘profit shock’ with the announcement that revenues will be 30% lower than expected.

In his article Steve Moore is critical of the reported prediction that “The board is confident in a return to growth in FY25.”

In Stockomendation Canaccord Genuity says BUY, Edward Sheldon says LONG TERM BUY and Steve Moore says AVOID. There are no active short positions currently open.

3. BUY PRS Reit

Third interesting stock pick this week is BUY PRS Reit by Stephen Wright in The Motley Fool with a tip performance of 8%.

PRS Reit share price listed at 107p in 2017, reached an all-time high of 114p in 2022 and today is at 76p.

Positive results in the recent PRS Reit company announcement and favourable rental conditions have yielded positive results for shareholders this week.
