1. Buy DFS

Top stock pick this week BUY DFS Furniture by Jefferies with a tip performance of 13%.

DFS Furniture is a furniture retailer in the United Kingdom, Spain and Ireland specialising in sofas and soft furnishings. It was founded in 1969.

DFS share price listed on the London Stock Exchange in 2015 at 255p and is today at 110p. It listed a profit warning in this RNS due to Red Sea disruptions with a lower level of delivered customer orders which will go into next year’s statement.

Three analysts in Stockomendation with three different ratings: Jefferies says BUY, Berenberg says HOLD and UBS is NEUTRAL. There is one open short position, view that here.


2. BUY SSP Group

Second stock pick this week is BUY SSP Group by Deutsche Bank with a tip performance of 7%.

SSP is an operator of food and beverage outlets in travel locations. Founded in 1961, it is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index. It franchises M&S Simply Food, Starbucks and Burger King, and owns Millie's Cookies and Upper Crust. If you have ever paid £7 for a pasty, it was probably from an SSP Group company.

SSP Group share price launched 202p in 2014 and is today at 169p.

In the news this week as the railway regulator calls for more competition at rail stations, meaning Upper Crust brand will face new competition. The Office for Rail and Road said the process for acquiring rail outlets should be more competitive.

St. James's Place plc, formerly St. James's Place Capital plc, is a British financial advice company. The head office is in Cirencester, in Gloucestershire, and there are over twenty other offices in the United Kingdom. It is a combined adviser, fund manager and life insurance business.

St James’ Place share price listed on London Stock Exchange in 1993 at 85p and is today at 524p.

Today in this RNS it announced the appointment of Caroline Waddington of UBS to CFO, causing shares to rise.
